Welcome

Hi and welcome to my blog. I've been a professional photographer in Edmonton Alberta for about 5 years. Photographing children is what I love to do. I feel so at ease around children and with my easy going attitude, and care free way, I am able to capture the most natural charateristics of all the children I photograph. Being a mother myself, to a very happy go lucky 7 year old boy, I know the patience and the tricks it takes to keep children engaged and comfortable while photographing them.

I also truly enjoy photographing newborns and mothers to be. I can barely remember the first few months of my son's life and I regret that I wasn't able to photograph him more as a baby The early stages of a newborn's life are the most amazing and having all the folds, wrinkles and peacefull sleeping images will ensure you always remember that special time. Especially when they grow so fast and act like monkeys.

This blog is dedicated to all the children, babies, mothers to be and families who have allowed me the opportunity to enjoy a day in their lives. Thank you for stopping by.

Get Away

I’m back from our trip and it was amazing! My son and I did a whirlwind tour of Vancouver Island and saw as much as we can in 6 days. We flew to Vancouver, rented a car, took the ferry over and met up with some friends to go camping for 6 days. We hit Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Sproat Lake, Tofino, Victoria and lots of little spots in between. I have soo many pictures to go through and will do a few posts with pictures over the next week. For now, here are a few that stood out.

These were all taken at Long Beach near Tofino. It was the most beautiful beach I’ve ever set foot on. I would love to be able to do photo sessions in a place like this every day.

EXTRA EXTRA!!

I am about to launch my new site. With this new launch, I am throwing a little special for the early birds. Expecting

Last week I got together with A&E again. I did E’s newborn pictures and maternity session about 17 months ago, and now E is going to be a big sister so it was time for another session. Big Ben

Last week I got to photograph Ben. He was a perfect little guy. It may have been the sweltering heat of last week, but he fought hard to stay awake. He finally surrendered, and drifted off. Here is a sneak peek.

Ticking away

I’m waiting patiently for some website people to do some stuff so hopefully I’ll have something to work on soon. In the meantime, I’m digging through files and noticed a few that made me realize, it’s ALMOST that time of year again. We get to wear shorts, t-shirts, flip flops and dresses. Eating ice cream oustide, running through sprinklers and watching the sunset while camping. These are the reason’s we all put up with winter. I am ready to shed the sweat pants, go outside and get a tan and watch my son do what he does best; monkey around. I’m hoping to do a lot more sessions outside this year as well, and I have some neat idea’s to try too. So, here’s to summer days and spring clothes shopping!

New blog and still no site

So I am yet again, changing things up. It’s so hard to stick with one thing it seems. As some may know, I had a major meltdown of my website a few weeks ago and I am still working on getting a site back up. The bones that made up my last site, have disappeared so I’m basically back to square one. I decided that for now, I will work with this blog to at least keep some information out there. I am looking at new sites and trying to come up with something new that will work best for me.

In the meantime, feel free to check in here for new posts. I will add new images and go back to some old favorites as well. I am looking forward to having everything up and running soon. I did just get back from a few days of wonderful nothingness in my favorite city, so hopefully I can now get cracking and make this happen.
